For the Maher's, the world of watersports started in 1950 when Bill Maher started a business called Wiskski Water Ski company. Bill was an Inventor and Master Craftsman. Bill could not get the wood ski to conform to his mold so he cut the wood thin and glued it together then pressed it to the mold. This is the same technology woodski builders still use today.

Bob Maher started working in Bill's shop at age twelve. Bill went off to the Military and Bob went on to open Maherajah Waterski Company. Bob hand made over fifty thousand waterskis and holds sixteen world titles.

It is with that same dedication, innovation, technology and craftsmanship that William Maher (son of Bill Maher nephew of Bob Maher) and James Maher (grandson of Bill Maher great nephew of Bob Maher) are proud to bring you Maher Wake Design, a watersport Company.
